About
Born and raised in San Jose, California, Kim is a young artist experimenting with traditional styles of painting while learning to break away and develop her own individuality. She has taken an assortment of classes at community colleges throughout the Bay Area and Orange County, California and involved herself in many community art projects. She now currently attends Eastern Michigan University with a concentration in painting. Kim is heavily influenced by street artists such as Banksy and Swoon. Their raw ideas have inspired her to illustrate images in which she can speak her mind and challenge her audience to be involved in what she is attempting to portray. Her skills range from graphite pencil, charcoal, painting, pen & ink, clay... almost any type of medium she can get her hands on that best present her ideas.
